Katie is a sustainability practitioner with a legal background. Originally an employment lawyer, Katie worked in private practice and industry in the UK for twenty years specialising in equality and whistle-blowing.

After relocating to Australia with Pinsent Masons, Katie worked closely with the firm’s diversity and inclusion consultancy business supporting companies to foster diverse, inclusive and respectful working environments.

Building on that integration of legal and consultancy skills, Katie developed the firm’s responsible business initiatives in Australia and supported corporate clients in diversity, equity and inclusion, speak-up cultures and the eradication of modern slavery in supply chains. She was a partner with Pinsent Masons until 2021.

Now with specialist sustainability firm Just Progress, Katie works with companies to develop their sustainability strategy and governance, address their impacts on human rights and build their response to climate change. In this crucial decade leading to 2030, Katie believes that a multi-disciplinary approach is essential and that lawyers can play a key role in shaping how business responds to the global crises of climate change and inequality.
