Cathryn Urquhart

Professional Skills Trainer & Coach

Cathryn has over 30 years experience in the legal profession both as a lawyer in private and in-house practice and more recently in running her own successful business in training and coaching.

Cathryn studied Law at the University of Western Australia and was admitted in 1988. She completed her articles at Phillips Fox (now Lavan Legal) before working as an Associate to former Chief Justice Robert French during his term as a Justice of the Federal Court. Cathryn then worked at Parkers (now Freehills), mainly in insurance and construction litigation, and was later a Senior Associate with Allens.

Cathryn also has extensive experience in developing and running training for lawyers and law students. She has lectured and tutored with the College of Law, the Articles Training Program, the University of WA and the University of Notre Dame. Cathryn is currently the Facilitator of the Legal Practice Management Course at the College of Law in Western Australia. She also runs her own business and works for a range of law firms and other businesses as a professional skills trainer and coach.
